Miss A Mollart

Nursery Teacher

EYFS Leader

I have worked in schools since 2008.

The best bit about my job is teaching children new skills.

The best thing is getting to listen to all the children's funny comments and stories.

I would say I am 'Responsive'.

Mrs Charlene Inman

Nursery Teaching Assistant

I have worked in schools for 6 years.

The best thing about working in a school is the children – watching and helping them achieve their targets.I like the fact that every day is different and the children always make me smile.

A word to describe me would be: 'Dedicated'.

Mrs L Nicholson

Nursery Senior Teaching Assistant

I have worked in schools since 1989, with a little time off when I had my children.

I like seeing the children growing in confidence and learning to believe in themselves and their own abilities and also knowing that they are valued for who they are.

My best moment was having the opportunity to visit a school in Sweden to observe how they ran their Early Years Department, it was a great experience which I found very interesting and rewarding.

One word to describe me as a professional would be a 'Team Player.'(not sure that's classed as one word, sorry!

Miss A Benson

Aire Class Teacher

I have been working in schools since 2009 and at Valley View since 2013.

I love my job because I love working with children, everyday is different. I love watching children learn and grow, especially when they realise themselves they have learnt how to do something.

I don't have one particular moment, funny things happen quite often when working with 5 year olds! But my favourite moments are watching things which the children have been practising for a while, such as assemblies and nativity productions. I really love seeing how confident they are and watching them show off what they have learnt to their parents. A word to describe me would be 'Dependable'.

Miss M Stirk
Arram Class Teacher

I have worked in school since September 2016.

I like my job in Early Years as I get to make a difference to young children's lives on a daily basis.

The best thing that has happened to me whilst working in a school was seeing my first Reception class perform their Christmas Nativity.

I would describe myself as 'Nurturing'.

Mrs K McNiven

Aire Class Senior Teaching Assistant

I have worked in school nurseries since 2007.

I like helping the nursery children developing into independent, confident little people, who are ready to start school.

I love to listen to the children whilst they play. Their imaginations make me laugh. I also like it when they achieve something that seems so small, like putting on their own coat, makes them so proud of themselves.

I am 'Patient'.

Mrs P Bissitt
Reception Senior Teaching Assistant

I have been working in schools since 2005.

No two days are ever the same in school. The school is an amazing learning environment made better by the natives (staff and pupils alike).

There have been WAY TOO MANY funniest moments, but the most recent... The pet piranha incident... I thought they said 'pet banana' this led to one of the funniest conversations with a 5 year old.

The word that describes me as a professional is 'Stalwart' -old fashioned I know- but true!

Miss G Finn

Arram Class Teaching Assistant

I started working at Valley View in 2018.

I love my job because it is so rewarding working with children, watching them grow and learn.

I am thrilled to be part of the Reception team this year.

My highlight from last year was watching the Year 1 class perform their production of 'The Three Billy Goats Gruff'.  I was so proud.

A word to describe me: 'Fun'
